Trail Use

Hikers, bikers, birdwatchers, hunters, anglers, mushroom gatherers, and others who explore nature by foot, either on- or off-trail, unintentionally may transport invasive species on clothing and shoes. This pathway can spread species such as common crupina, garlic mustard, knapweeds, Spartina, or yellow starthistle between and among natural areas, shorelines, and city parks.

If you're a trail user, you can help prevent the spread of invasive species by cleaning your personal gear, as well as your dogs or other animals, after each hike.
